Thanks for visiting. This page explains what we can help with, what we can’t, and the fastest route to an answer for each.
Before you email us
This is an independent, community-run resource. We are not the developers of OpenCore Legacy Patcher and we have no affiliation with Dortania or with Apple. That matters for one practical reason: we cannot fix bugs in the software, and we cannot see your machine.
If you have hit a bug, a crash, or a patching failure, the people who can actually help are the project maintainers. Report it on the official OpenCore Legacy Patcher repository on GitHub, and read the official Dortania documentation first — it is the authoritative source for the tool.
When reporting a problem to the project, include your Mac model identifier, the macOS version you are running, the macOS version you are trying to install, and the OCLP version you used. Reports without those four details are usually impossible to act on.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If something in one of our guides is wrong, outdated, or unclear, tell us and we will fix it.
- Broken links or downloads. Every download link here points to the official GitHub release. If one is dead or points to the wrong version, we want to know.
- Content requests. If there is a Mac model, macOS version, or error message you wish we covered, suggest it.
- Copyright and takedown matters. See our DMCA policy for the formal process.

Write to hello@opencorelegacypatcher.net. One person reads this inbox, so please allow a few days for a reply. If you are writing about a correction, a link to the specific page helps us act on it much faster.
We do not host any installer files, and we will never email you asking for payment, personal details, or remote access to your Mac.
